As a regular Ramsey viewer, I can say that these strategies are working. I love that I can click a link to the full video from the short--so many channels don't take advantage of this option and lose me as a viewer. Even though I'm interested in the topic, I don't have time to search around their channel for the full video.

I'm a big fan of the clips as well--5-7 minutes is good for a break, but I don't usually have time to listen/watch an hour plus video.

Shorts Strat:

•Shorts are strictly made out of top performing videos
•Publish two highlight videos per day
•Only create shorts out of high performing videos
•Link to top performing videos of that short
•Make sure swipe rate is 70% or more

•HACK: First 1-3 seconds should be the best of the best

•CTA: direct people to the full length video ((but HOW?!😅))

The trend is your friend! On my channel, I produce a lot of DIY remodeling, and high-profile engineering failure videos, but I also used my investigative skills on several videos covering the Donald Trump shooting. 3 of my videos have gotten over 2 million views, and I have gained 50, 000 new subscribers in the last 2 weeks with these 9 videos due to the hot trending desire for more info on the Trump shooting. I now have 540, 000 subs on YouTube.
