Finally, I've been waiting years for a DIY tutorial of a great jet engine

This video's sound is incredible. Where has YouTube been all our lives? This video is incredibly interesting, and educational and entertaining. In order to see this in day's past you would have had to go to the library, and you might find it on microfilm or film. Who knows? TV didn't have custom technology until the 1970's, and even then, it wasn't all that great.

Incredible video production. Having worked in turbofan engine repair and overhaul as a mechanical engineer in all of the processes shown, I am very impressed. So many tiny but crucial details shown. Retired now, but vertical stack and engine test still excite me. Well done, RR.

Love how bright and shiny all their tools are. Like they've only been used a few times in their life.

The complexity of a jet engine is mind boggling. Very good video for reminding us something of what goes into this incredibly important part of what gets us into the sky and to our destination…safely!

At 03:13 - RR XWB engine final assembled and tested in Germany, put on a Dutch (Holland/Netherlands) NL registered truck - to transport it to Airbus.
The truck with an EU text in French language (Convoi Exceptionnel)...

Trent XWB is an amazing engine. If I see a RR logo on my plane's engines, I know I am on a truly reliable and awesome sounding aircraft.

I'm machining a Tail Bearing Housing for this engine. It's just awesome to see this! I wish companies would take the machinists who work on these products to this location as a "field trip" to see what their years of hard work actually looks like! Would definitely deliver a turbo boost of pride to a person to see this!
