I bought Marcus Rashfords Mansory Rolls Royce Wraith after he crashed it last year. Ive now been rebuilding the car back to its original state but only to be stumped by the huge damage on the rear quarter which seems to have taken out more of the structure than we first thought. Now ive got to cut into a £700,000 Rolls Royce... theres no turning back now

Matt, I am 60 and my father had it’s own garage, so I grew up in a garage. I have seen my father cut up cars and weld them back together, but NOT a frigging £ 700.000 Rolls Royce, let alone two of them!! I am wondering whether you sort get used to being around expensive cars, but boy you have a set of balls to cut up a car like this. I have watched every episode on your channels and every time again you take it to the next level. My dad has passed now, but he would have bowed to you. Cheers from the Netherlands.

I haven't seen lead work in about 30 years Tony and the body shop are the MVP of the build.

Fantastic to see those "old skool" bodywork repair techniques. Need to get more youngsters getting into this kind of trade.

Hey, Matt.

I wanted to thank you for the work you do and let you know the impact you have for normal folks. My brother is dying from cancer just now at 41 years old. In his final months and weeks, we'd spend many nights watching your videos, and sometimes, it would be the highlights of our days. You've reached a lot of people, but i dont know if you've ever realised what your content can create for people. Thanks for the memories 👍

I’m not even remotely a mechanic, but those lads in the body shop are full on artisans. Incredible work 🤯

From someone that lost their dad this year, can I just say how awesome Tony is, hilarious with great energy and gets stuck in. Absolute Dad goals. appreciate him Matt. Much love from Dorset Uk.

I did lead/zinc filling when I was 19 and still an apprentice on North Thames gas Board 52 years ago. It was my hobby and did my Ford MK1 GT no bondo on it and saw it many years later still rust free. You can’t beat Metal filler. Well done body guys and Mat for saving this beautiful Rolls!👏👍

The way Matt's dad says 12:56 makes him look like a minion with the glasses lmao

That quarter work is outstanding. I love that they are old school and used lead. Not many guys anymore know the art of working lead into a seam. My uncle is a master body man, he worked lead for years and years.. great to see, really wonderful.

To be honest...these are the repairs I love to see...this is almost artistry....getting it back perfect...that's why I also love Yorkshire Car Restoration videos....

I found your channels a few weeks ago and I’ve been addicted, I grinded like 4 of the full build episodes in the first week 😂

Watching you work with your dad is so lovely to see. It makes me feel less lonely as my dad passed away a year ago. I was very close with my dad and we ran a shop together, too.
Keep it up you two! (And the team too, of course!) Can't wait for the next video.

Tony is a legend, he typifies an era of wearing free stuff to your work(presuming Mat gives him the merch free anyways) always involved in the real grind of any fix, loved this episode, so happy the car is a mix of the 3 cars as that is what the story of the Mansory is all about.

Hi Matt, great video. The sight of the lead filling reminded me that in 1979 as part of my supervisory training I was in charge of the materials handling section of the Rolls Royce BIW (body in white)building at the Pressed Steel factory in Cowley, Oxford. It was said that each Rolls Royce body that left the plant for either Crewe or occasionally Mulliner Park Ward contained at least 76Lbs of lead. So the little bit you used is not going to make much difference. It was used to ensure that all door shuts were the right size and that all external joints filled like you did. Keep up the videos.

Watching this video has raised my anxiety levels. When i was in my in my teens and 20s i worked on body repairs and did all the prep for panels to be welded by the boss, the work going into this quarter replacement... WOW.
Can't wait to see the cost breakdown for all this work.

Great to see, Someone still use lead. When i was little. Watch my grandpa for hours, using lead on cars. He was a artist with lead ... Damm, memories like this. That make me miss him... 😢

The work in getting this rear quarter fitted must never be underestimated. The man hours and skill set are unbelievable. Well done to the body shop. And of course Tony. Fantastic video Mat and team. 😊👍
