When you make contact with the rebar do you recommend turning off the hammer mode and cut the rebar in turn only mode?

These are heavy duty tools. You should demo DIY of small drill bit to cut through rebar in ceiling.

I don't know about diablo, but yesterday i decided to spend 50$ on Alpen Force-X 25 mm drill bit and I managed to drill through 12 mm steel rebar twice, dead center, . Took about an hour per hole, each 30 cm deep, and the drill still seems ok. I wouldn't belive that was possible had I not tried it myself.

Used 3/8 and 1/2 inch 4 cutter this weekend . Not cutting threw rebar☹️

Unfortunately my life isn't tough enough that I will ever have the need to drill through rebar. 😕 Diablo rocks hard-core though, I haven't used anything Diablo that hasn't been noticeably better than whatever I've used before, their carbide blades for sawzalls are better than any of the Milwaukee or Bosch blades I've used for sure. They have this little 6" carbide where the surface of the teeth is basically flat that's made for cutting metal and I find myself reaching for it to cut PVC pipe because the tteth aren't sharp and don't jerk the PVC around. Cuts through very clean even with a well used blade.

Their pruning blades cut through Palm tree branches (super dense dry wood) like it's nothing with an 18v Milwaukee Sawzall and cuts decent sized Olive tree branches in seconds with no fuss.

Diablo isn't cool stuff because it looks cool, everything I've used by them far surpasses my own expectations which are high...and at a great price.

I ran in to this today with a 2 - 3/8 inch Milwaukee core drill hole saw. It was a 120 bucks so I was hesitant about continuing to drill. Would really appreciate some advice if you have any for me. I'm using a Bosch sds max

You guys should try the bosch rebar cutter. IMO its a lot better than what you're using.
