My perspective on this is, this movie isn't trying to be great or a absolute masterpiece, it's trying to capture the derpy essence of minecraft. If their goal was to make this movie a representation of minecraft irl then they wouldn't have given jack black the Steve line. They are clearly taking inspiration from jumanji and pixels.
TLDR: I think the movie IS bad but that's what I expected and wanted.

Honestly they should’ve have made it like the Lego movie. One of the greatest animated movie using blocks and amazing. Idk why they won’t do that?! Like just make it jumanji where they turn into mc characters.

Real respect to SB for being honest. The art design is just wrong. I'm very cautious about other Minecraft YouTubers who were invited to the filming. I get it, they may be under contract, but it's wrong to hype this to kids when they know deep down it isn't right. You could tell a very prominent Minecraft YouTuber was struggling to be hyped.

This was extremely honest, and it was actually my 10 year old that got me to watch your react as he saw the trailer and the reactions before me and he said he thought it looked weird.
