Despite what others may have you believe, loving your job is not a privilege. It is a right. Creating work environments that foster passion, rather than stress, starts with leaders. Working hard we don't care about is called stress. Working hard for something we love is called passion.

I'm an analyst who is filling in as a team lead / manager while someone is on leave and trying to learn how to be a leader. I remember well all the days I have despised my job and worked for managers who didn't believe in me and who looked at my best efforts like they were worthless. I remember the endless futility and numbness that goes with that. I've decided there's no way I'm doing that to other people.

I want to create a team that my people and I give our best and end each day holding our heads up high. I believe in giving praise where it's due. When my subordinates have experienced great personal loss, I have cried for them in one-on-one meetings. I really hope I can foster an environment that these people, these fellow humans, can really love their jobs. I wish someone had done that for me.

Hey there Simon,
I just wanted to let you know that u are the one that made me get an A* in my speaking exam haha

I used your content from a video that was about 2 years ago that was about the love and that it's delivered with genuine consistency and my speaking assessor told me that i had a great content with this emoji in the feedback sheet💥

"Working hard for something we don't care about is called stressed. Working hard for something we love is called passion." Well said Simon! The way you talk and explain things is so clear and therapeutic. I can listen to you all day.

*The most important two days of your life is first when you were born and second when you find out why.*

Have an amazing day ladies and gentlemen.

I remember this is one of the first talks I've seen on social media, it was a different spot but still have the same pation. I started to listen more about what Simon Sinek talks about when I saw this pation about what he believes and I also agree with every single thing he says. Thank you Simon for spreding this pation for a future we can make it happen, but only as a team.

It's the best line I have ever gone through in my whole carrier, just listening to this gives me such a relieving feeling of "I was not the only one" who had same insecurities and deeply rooted fear in the work setting 💜💜💜

Well put! I wish there are more leaders out there cares about their people than outcome! When they start to care, the outcome comes natually.
