I have a 2014 Ford F150 with the 5.0 and it has 150, 000 miles on it and still going strong with no issues. I have been using the 5w20 Ford Motorcraft oil since 28, 000 Miles since i got it.

Mine has done that for years, now has 233000 miles. Runs like new 5w20 oil synthetic always

113k 2012 F150 does the exact same, as well as a 2018 both 5.0. Both do it and no issues from either

Mine sounds the same. 2013 5.0
Guy at the dealer told me when it gets to 180, 000kms or 110000m use 10w30 instead of the 5w20. Im going to try it next oil change .
Been like it now for 3 or 4 years and i use Motorcraft oil and filter always.
