(S.O.S. no.4) Improvised Fantasia - 17.09.23

The Small Octupus' Sessions return after a while and they bring this time an improvised fantasia. The journey of it starts and ends with a time signature of 9/8 in F#minor with a characteristic motive of falling 3rd acting as a comment between the main cantabile lines of the right hand. After the initial section, the piece moves through a deceptive cadence in D major chord to the D major scale. Later, it goes to A minor and lastly to C major before returning back where it started (in F#minor) giving a sense of recapitulations and closure - or, at least, I hope it does so.
