I made a Victorian, 1890's Evening Cape that has a very witchcore, witch aesthetic vibe, just in time to ring in October and Halloween! I used a pattern from Truly Victorian for this sewing project. This would be a great beginner sewing project as it was quick and easy to sew. Thank you for joining me on my plus size historical costuming and sewing adventures here on costube!

You are a lovely, beautiful soul. Additionally, I so enjoy watching you sew. I think at this point I qualify as a confident beginner, and I love watching you put things together. Thank you again for a wonderful video.

This is a fab video and the outcome of your project looks fantastic and fits you SO well! You look stunning in it! I also wanted to say how blown away I was by not only your kind, thoughtful, and considerate reply to my comment in your previous video, but the steps you've taken here. Not only was your apology (though really in the grand scheme of things it was barely needed [in my opinion as one single trans person]) handled with some of the best grace and class I've seen, your decision to remove the SEO terms going forward is amazing. I think everyone can understand that for a content creator to take out terms which might easily lead people to your content is a huge and brave step. But THEN, to go on and decide to donate not only profits made from the series but to DOUBLE it??? That is above and beyond and an incredibly excellent, thoughtful, and powerful thing to do. A lot of people could learn so much from you <3 Thank you again for what you do and I'm looking forward to more content in the future! If anyone needs a guide on how to handle concerns raised by viewers / fans, I will absolutely be pointing them to your videos and responses (as well as just in general for excellent content <3)

You have such style and class. Great idea for a project, and loved the embellishment. The music was delightfully autumn and witchy. Thanks for this video.

You & I are on the same page about supporting the products of people/institutions, etc., we do not agree with. You didn't rant or rave or denigrate - you stated simply that you are moving on from the sphere of that particular author, & why. It isn't judgmental to make a choice, it is reasonable & you've obviously reasoned it out. I have similar feelings about Richard Wagner's music! Began by adoring it when I was younger, but now I simply think of it as something that's out in the world but not in my sphere. Knowledge is power, grace is a blessing. I appreciate your grace, Rebecca.

You are an extremely graceful and kind lady, it is very admirable. And the cape is very cute, sometimes the most simple projects are the most fun, huh?

Lovely cape. I have a tendency to make full length cloaks but this is very tempting.

Ooo I love how the cape lining works with the dress! I might have to buy the cape pattern! I’ve bought their 1905 shirtwaist and 1903 skirt for my volunteer job. Regarding your comment about someone being offended: I cannot keep up with what every people do or say I don’t take it personally. Ridiculous for people to expect us to know who to avoid. I experience discrimination but I certainly do not go around telling people to boycott. Do what makes you happy. Happy Halloween!!

It is definitely hard to still like Harry Potter these days. It is something I've grown up with, that formed a large part of who I am. I believe that while there is A LOT to examine and admonish about the series, there is still a great deal to learn from it and we can continue to draw inspiration from it as well. I strive to support independent artists who create HP related things rather than funnel funds toward official merch and she who must not be named. Thank you for your humility and willingness to change. The finished cape and outfit look great together! What a cute little ball python, is it yours or did you borrow it?

A technical question. When you sewed the collar you sewed right to the ends of the seam allowance then back stitched. But then you trimmed the allowance. Does this not cut the threads that you have just sewn and then start unravelling. I see many people do it and always wonder if they will get holes appearing at these places.
Love the Cape, Best wishes xxx

The apology was wonderful. Proof of why JKR should be vilified I’ve yet to see. Can someone point me to the direct quote or quotes that give a start to finish argument? I can’t explain hearsay to my granddaughter. Saying she hates transgender I’ve not seen proven either. She can fight her own battles but in order to support such a stance I can’t take YouTube or YouTube groups hearsay. No excuse in this internet age of criminalisation of one woman by a minority group. Neither makes it right. I’ve tried to get to the facts when this first came up. I’m not part of the right groups it seems.
