The best detergent for YOUR ultrasonic cleaner!

For the best cleaner on the market in my honest opinion is the Citrus heavy duty degreaser at Homedepot. Make sure you get the orange stuff its safe on plastics aluminum and gun parts at any heat in the ultrasonic cleaner and any amount of time. Let me know what you guys use down below.

Looked up the ingredients. It has potassium hydroxide. So it is an alkaline cleaner and will destroy your aluminium. It might be in a small enough quantity that it will take some time, but leave it long enough and it will.

I just bought a 15L ultrasonic cleaner. But haven’t used it just yet. Could you fill with water and put smaller parts in a zip lock bag with whatever dilution you want and it still work?

Hey I just got an ultrasonic cleaner and I'm reading that you should use neutral detergents for aluminum at high frequency otherwise you'll get pitting on surface of the alumninum. Zep citrus has a ph level of 11-12. This never caused a problem for you?

Zep stuff works better then simple green and purple power and all of that! Not just for ultra sonic cleaners I use their purple color degreaser to clean the floors at my shop and it works way better then anything else. Purple power imo is crap and destroys aluminum parts super fast if u don’t wash it.
