Why They Want To End Private Car Ownership

There is a war on cars, not just in Scotland, but in America too. Regulators want people out of their private cars and onto trains, buses, and bicycles. Why? They'll say it's to "reduce emissions in the fight against climate change." But it's really because of what cars represent—freedom.

Walkable cities are the historical standard. The car has changed the way cities and communities are built. Everything now is built with the car in mind. This limits the ability of people to simply walk to the store or to work. Now we have to buy a car to do the same things a person a hundred years could do just by walking around town.

“Freedom” is being forced to purchase, insure, and maintain a car because there are literally no alternatives in most of our cities 🥰

Why should I have to subsidise car drivers with my tax money

People need to pay attention to bills circulating around "Right to Repair" and bills attempting to outlaw vehicle modifications. There's tons of sinister sh!t afoot.

I do not understand how anything past 2:46 is a bad thing. We need more public transportation in the United States I am tired of relying on a car to get anywhere.

In large cities like Chicago I almost prefer using public transit over driving. Trains and busses run when I needed them but living in the suburbs there is no way I could live on public transit. It is slow and isn't running every 5-10 minutes like large cities.

And for the car owners, they want people to buy EVs with over the air software update capability. Why? Because over the air updates = over the air shutdowns, it’s all about control.

This is what they flew their own private jets to Davos to do.

People must start insisting their governments and councils do as they want, not as globalists want.

A rare miss for PragerU. There are plenty of great reasons to get cars off the road and redesign cities in a way that doesn't require them, none having to do with CO2 concerns. This video tries to fearmonger viewers into thinking the government is going to ban our road trips across the great American west, when all that's really going on is local governments trying to make their car-clogged cities a bit more livable, which we should all be getting behind.

Public transportation is great, but only if it is a choice! People should be able to choose how they move where they move and when they move

We need to not go along with any of this. 🇺🇸

Translation: buy the vehicles from companies we invested money in.

I’m 27 and fully intend to buy nothing but 1990-2010 used cars for the next 15 years at least. I prefer manual cars as well. Buying used is cheaper and actually is better for the environment because you’re reusing a resource instead of making a new product. Interesting how the EV crowd just wants to look like they care about the planet…

Cars are not sustainable. They just aren't. Governments need to invest in rail and public transport.

Not only is mining for the components of EV battery production harmful - the mining for the rare earth elements and their respective extraction processes for the electric motor magnets is even worse, and more destructive.
