She sure did break hearts. I am a baby boomer and an inhabutant of discos back in the 70's. When I heard she had died, it knocked the wind out of me. My husband at the time was dying of Hep C. He and I started out in 1969. 43 years off and on when he died. He and I spent a lot of time in discos and danced to her music. The first thing I did was call him and tell him she had died. We were both devastated.

As of now, he has been dead for 12 years. All of our friends from that time are also gone. I am the only one left; it is important that I be a living history book of that time period.
