I’m a dad and I don’t even make milk but I’m watching this for my wife who is struggling while she naps and hopefully this can help when she wakes up

Would you be willing to do a video on sanitizing (bottles, pacifiers, teethers, etc.) guidelines? For example, do you need to sanitize prior to each feed, after every wash, how long are sanitized items "good" for? Along with methods for sanitizing (sterilizer vs. boiling, etc.) and the necessity for a sanitizer. Thanks!

This is so helpful. I panicked giving my baby old leftover breast milk. So happy to know its fine to give it to baby within 6 hours

I’m a breastfeeding Mom who pumps to have milk for a rainy day or if I need to go to an appointment. I refer back to this video every time I have a question about milk storage. So thankful for this!

Ugh. I have thrown out so much good milk because I was told way too strict guidelines. Now that I’m back to work and supply is a bit lower- I wish I would’ve seen this sooner! Ugh. Thanks for this video!!

I'm curious to know where you found these guidelines. I was told the 4-4-4 rule, 4 hours, 4 days, 4 months. I've forgotten milk on my counter for more than 4 hrs and threw it out in tears. Lol. I've thrown out so much milk because I was following that 4-4-4 rule. I'm glad you talked about being able to shake the milk to mix it. So helpful. Thank you for this video!

Thank you for this! I did my own research because the lactation consultants I talked to at the hospital where I gave birth in February told me never mix cold & warm milk ever, never shake to mix the fat back in & don't feed any breastmilk left in the bottle after a feeding. My kiddos are almost 10 years apart & the LCs are a little better then they were 10 years ago, I did give birth at the same Hospital, but half the stuff they said was contradicting and confusing.

This has been so helpful. I was feeling anxious about the idea of pumping and storing breast milk for my baby, but this has helped a lot

this covered everything i was wondering! mainly was if baby didnt finish a bottle how long until she couldnt eat it anymore... life saver. ive wasted ounces of milk thinking if she didnt finish it after exactly 2 hours from when she last ate that it was bad.

I did hear about not shaking the breast milk just yesterday and got so nervous because I have been to mix it altogether! So many contradictions when it comes to anyone’s baby haha but you made me feel better! I haven’t finished the video yet, but have you heard of the pitcher method? What are your thoughts?

I can't believe how much has changed over the years.

What a relief. I felt the guidelines were very strict/conservative online. I understand, but in a sense breast milk really is magic! Long as we have clean water and soap to clean they are good. I was throwing milk away after left out 2 hours! Felt like such a waste. And I’ve been scared to over pump as I BF rn before I go back to work, so I don’t get engorged.
