V-Groove Corian Solid Surface Demonstration

This video demonstrates the v-groove or miter fold edge fabrication process for Corian solid surface material. I use a Monument Toolworks v-groove machine but this process can also be accomplished with a table saw or hand held router.

It is by far the easiest edges to fabricate and the finishing steps are drastically reduced.

Hi Andy. Love your videos! I recently started fabricating Corian and I can't find any visual demonstrations for seaming V-grooved pieces together though an L shape corner. With a 45 degree miter seam especially. The fabrication manual doesn't do a thorough job of explaining it either. Do you think you could turn on your camera the next time you're doing this? Not to get greedy, but a video on the V-grooved method for a coved splash would be great too! Thank you for all of your helpful videos!!!

I have some walnut plywood and was thinking of making a seamless box by cutting a v-groove at all the corners and just folding it together.

Very interesting video. How many knives of the cutting and what is the spindle speed if you mind to tell me? Thank you in advance.

Hi Andy, that looks slick. What angle v cutter is that? Just a 90 or is it 91 to give room for glue etc?
