Goodbye, Jack

The Big Cat Sanctuary is sad to announce that Jack, our beautiful jungle cat, has been put to sleep.

A while ago, Jack developed arthritis in his right elbow. On carefully planned and balanced pain relief Jack still continued to do well for a long time, despite the fact he would always be lame due to restricted movement in his joint. It was only recently that Jack’s condition deteriorated, as his elbow became more swollen and his motion limited.

New treatments were tried, but with no improvement, it became clear we were not going to be able to improve Jack’s condition. We had exhausted any treatment options available to us and so it was decided it was time to say goodbye.

I am so sorry you loss your beloved cat. I don’t like to see that myself my cat lived to be 18yrs old died in my living room floor. It was a Friday he was suffering but I went to work every so often a year would fall my co-workers wouldn’t understand so I tell them I just loss my best friend. I still miss him this day. He was a swirl tabby cat his coat had a circle and a eye in the middle. His name was tigger. Again I’m sorry for your loss maybe another one will come soon to ease the pain.
