How to plaster a wall, a beginners guide/tutorial for the DIY enthusiast. Including how to mix and apply pva, mix plaster, apply plaster, and finish plaster. I will upload a video of how to prep the wall with bonding plaster and scrim tape soon. In this video I have made the plaster slightly wetter than usual as filming the job made the task longer, and I didn't want the plaster to go hard!

Love it. Needed a wall plastered and couldn't quite afford to pay a professional. I took my time and did it. Even my father was impressed!

I plastered a 3m x 2.5m wall using this video - I had never plastered before, and it came out great. Thank you @pouse, your videos are incredibly good and straight to the point. Keep making them please!!!

Bought the gear, watched your great tutorial, wall plastered, still working on the face expressions. Thank you!

Amazing video, but what is more impressive is how you reply to everyone! That's really nice to see. Also, after watching a multiude of videos you are the 1st person to mention not hoĺding the trowel flat to the wall, and holding at an angle.

Thanks. That did the job, not much swearing and most of the plaster ended up where I wanted it to be.

Great video! I watched this just over a year ago and have since plastered whole rooms in my house, including ceilings, based on these principles. This vid has saved me hundreds possibly thousands of £££££££££££! thanks!

I owe you a shout out pal. I watched your videos last year. Did a small built in wardrobe to start, it was a bit dodgy but I got the hang of it. Anyway my house *WAS* 70% artex covering the walls, so it was either pay a fortune or have a go myself. I Ended up doing most of the house and even the sister in-laws dining room and lounge too. aswell as another mates hallway.

I just wanted to say thanks for the instructions. I watched lots of videos but yours stood out as the clearest and most helpful. Top man, you got me out of a hole.

(Before anyone asks we had the artex tested and there was no asbestos before I started.)

Top man at sharing his trade most plasters would never want competition by teaching others. A true master crafts man and I've worked in the building trade restoring old houses so have seen it all. What anoys me in the UK any person even with no knowledge of the building trade can leaglly call them selves a builder it's wrong. Karl (THE COFFIN MAKER).

I followed this video and ended up spreading milk all over my wall and drinking PVA.

Plastering a wall is easy-peasy. I tried it a few years ago. I spent quite a lot of time, and money to purchase the materials. I thought the result was pretty decent, for a first try. My wife wasn't impressed, though. And I had to call in a professional to undo the damage. I'm sure some people are able to DIY this kind of job, but it's pretty difficult. Hats off for the professionals!!

Just goes to show not all plasterers are money-mad cross-eyed, sausage-roll eating Star readers with Talk Sport on 24/7. Very generous of you to give away all these tips for muggles like me with a crumbly old cottage to put straight - thanks mate.
