It sounds like he was planning on purposing soon but she insisted on being engaged before finding new housing. He might have a plan, but now that she’s pushing for it, it doesn’t seem like a loving act on his behalf. I understand wanting stability, but if you trust and love your partner, a ring doesn’t change anything. Plus a ring doesn’t mean he’ll be loyal and something could still break them up.
