You are quite right. The domain for the original function was x<=0, this means the range for the inverse must be f(x)^-1 <=0. This means I should have specified that my inverse function is the negative square root of (3x+4)

Your answer to 5bii) is apparently wrong according to the mark scheme, it's -squareroot3x+4 and I don't know why and I was hoping to go on this video to find out :s
