HOW TO Make a Fitbit Charging Cable

I'll show you how to make a homemade Fitbit charging cable using things from a travel bag, no tools needed! I left my Fitbit #charger at home and had no way of ordering or getting one delivered. My DIY charging cable worked like a charm, the homemade smartwatch charging cable fully charged my Fitbit with no drama 😀👍

Nicely done. This reminds me of the time I needed to charge my laptop whilst stuck in a hotel in Budapest but didn’t have a plug adapter, so used a large paperclip broken into two prongs, two key rings as a connector between the paperclip ends and the charger prongs, and a shot glass + rubber band to insulate them from each other and hold them in place.

I tried it. But I'm scared of getting a shock.
I seen a teeny spark.
I need to know if it's ok if wires touch. A bit, while adjusting the right way to put the wires?
The ports are so close together.
Is it ok to see a spark?

Thank you!!! It was very fiddly to get the right connections - i ended up using a bull dog clip to hold them on! But it's charging!!
My charger was stolen and I won't get a new for few days & I like to track my sleep stats for training load.

Will this cause a fire if done incorrectly? Does it work for Versa 3? The Versa 3 has 4 separated pins.

hi um so i watched this since my charging cable broke about a week ago. i have an older fitbit model and it has no button, is there a way to tell which is positive and which is negative? (it’s a fitbit alta)

I have a versa 2 which has 4 connector points. I tried it with the wires on the two outermost connection points and it didn’t work. I have used this method to charge e-cigs and phone batteries so I do have some experience, I think I did the connections well. Would it be any other two connector points than the outer two? Thanks!
