Reverb is at least the number one depth source. Mixing two diffrent reverbs creates even more space and diffusion. Taking panning, transients-sustain control, very short delays(not chorus) as example to create even more depth. Pitch-stacking, layering and harmonic mixing is another choice for creating depth and energy at the same time.
