Loki is so precious! My dog Toby has separation anxiety from me too, its so hard to leave him so I feel you. I just make sure he just gets so much love when I get back, just like you do. I also give him a treat when I leave to distract him a bit, I don't know if you've already tried this but it helps me when I leave because I know he has something to focus on for a little while! I might have to pick up the Monster of Elendhaven now, Ive been looking at it for a while but this has convinced me.

Have you tried leaving the TV on for him? When I lived alone in my apartment, I would always leave the tv on for my dogs who have bad anxiety and don't like to be alone. Being able to see and hear humans made them feel a lot less alone.
