Stability is much more than food and shelter. Supporting their dreams and helping the kids get there, making sure they stay on their education, making memories as a family.. just a couple of the many things that go into stability..

To me sustainability for a child is teaching them EVERYTHING they'll need to know before they become an adult. Because by then, they will have the knowledge and understand responsibility to be able sustain their own life.
Helping them become a mature young adult, helping them with whatever it is they may want to do later in life and teaching them how to get there. It's so much more than clothes and food.

This weirdness with Alicia wanting that boy to come around more, for the 14 year old kinship girl to be dating, is so uncomfortable. 14 year olds shouldn't be prioritizing romantic or sexual relationships.

Agree. Teaching life skills and saving money for their future aren't even on her radar.

How can she give quality time to all the kids when she is always filming or on social media? I often forget to take pictures since I am actually present with my 4 kids. If I was always chasing the perfect shot I would miss out on the actual moments just looking at it from a lens.

You nailed it with the lesser of two evils. She is doing them injustice by the overspending, no responsibility, etc

Making sure that you are getting your children the therapies that they need. Learning to do chores ( dishes, laundry, taking out the trash). Helping to cook or make meals. It's a lot more than here's a new pair of Nike's or doing things for them. It's important to teach them balanced meals, time off the phone. School.

Teaching them to be addicted to brands and tech and dependent on others puts the teens in a really bad place when they graduate from high school. What comes next? They try to find a person to attach to that can provide everything financially for them just like Alicia? They try to find that person online? Their primary goal is that and/or spreading their online “presence”? How about getting a job or going to college or thinking of a career or a future or something?!

I don't watch her but I am literally shocked that she admitted that they said no at first because of social media!? And those kids see this and think they don't really want us. She really needs to keep her foot in her mouth...smfh

Stability to Alicia must mean lots n lots of sugar and ignoring all the kids.

I raised my sons to be independent thinkers and doers. Raising children is like basic training for life skills! When my oldest son was in the 7th grade he asked why he couldn’t have some of the high priced shoes his friends wore? I told him the kids were wearing their college education on their feet. I managed to get them both through undergraduate and graduate school as a single mom for half their lives. I need to ask them if not buying all that crap was worthwhile! Lol

She's angling to keep those kinship kids 😫 Stability is not the word - for a special needs mom, she's *clueless* about stability. My autistic child would go insane in that house (as would I). There is no stability there. No stability, no life skills, arguably no real food either.

Stability for a child yes includes a home, food ect. But first protection and safety.

She all about the money she has made it past unsafe living with her

9:03 that’s messed up, if I was a kid in that house and heard her say that I’d be under so much pressure to make sure I’m in each video even if I’m sick or tired. That’s a horrible thing to put on a kid that knows he or she could be put out at any time.

There are wonderful foster parents out there that treat the kids they take in like their own, but unfortunately, most foster homes are terrible. Kids are far more likely to be abused in foster care, and it does happen more often than people think.

That being said, there are Foster parents that take advantage of these vulnerable children. Any foster parents that collect foster kids like baseball cards is a huge red flag for me. They are mostly doing it for the checks and the assistance they receive for taking in a bunch of kids. Those foster kids are their meal ticket. I said what I said.

Then we have Alicia here who is not only receiving checks and probably programs like SNAP, but she is also making money by exploiting the kids on social media. She has been dangling that teenage girl in front of predators online for likes and views, and she knows what she is doing.

Stability isn't shoving a camera in the faces of your foster kids, who live on Doritos, Hot Pockets, and Ice Cream... And buying them cheap material possessions. Stability is ensuring that the home you provide for your children (biological or otherwise) a clean, sanitary home, make sure their nutritional needs are being met, being involved in their schoolwork and sports activities, and making sure each child is receiving enough attention, and emotional support.

She's a sloppy drunk. She's greedy. She's all about her social media presence, and isn't giving those kids the family life and home life they deserve. I'm not a perfect parent by any means, but I know that I'm not the worst mother out there, and I do my best. I'm a Millennial who was raised by Baby Boomers, and I think it's important that every generation do better with their children than their parents did. We learn better so we do better. My parents were not afraid to beat their kids, and I got my butt kicked up to the age of 16. I don't hit my kids, because first of all it doesn't work. Second, it just causes unnecessary trauma and resentment. My children have a large age gap between them. My oldest three are close in age, they are all adults and productive members of society, working and living their lives... But my youngest is only seven. I know that my parenting style has changed drastically from my early twenties to my mid/late thirties, but I'm trying to be the mom I wish I had.

Stability is
Emotional health
Mental health
Physical health
Psychological health
Which means..
Dr appointments
Dentist appointments
Appropriate therapies
Spending time with them (quality time) without a phone in her hand.
Letting the kids actually enjoy the vacations they go on without a camera in their face.
You may have rescued them from where they came from Alicia,
But you have a long way to go before you actually hit the genuine love stage.

When she says herself and Josh realised they were stupid to think it would affect their social media taking in the kinship kids. What she really meant was that they got the all clear to be able to put the kids on social media so changed their mind and took the kids in, not to mention the extra money they would make. It was nothing to do with helping the kinship kids at all. Compulsive liar. She makes me want to puke.

She said they pay their bills from their jobs. She doesn't have one. Even Josh's teacher's salary alone could not afford $4, 000.00/mo. in groceries. Plus mortgage, utilities, gas, etc. Unless he makes $250, 000.00 per year.
