The Oculus Quest is come very long way in one year! We are seeing it always sold out but does that mean that is really worth our time and money? It's time for the final verdict, my honest opinion after more than a year of use, let's get into it!

This Video is not sponsored by Oculus or any other company, this is my personal opinion and I wanted to take the opportunity of this anniversary to do a follow up!

The video was supposed to go on yesterday, but I went a little too long with the editing :) I hope you guys enjoy it and appreciate all the in-house content, instead of a reel of trailers :)
Have a great Weekend!

I've been working on the same video premise, I'm curious to see if our thoughts align

The Quest is my favorite headset out there by far and I'm so glad it was a smash hit sending the message that this can be the future of VR.

And hold up, this headset surely did! It's crazy to think it's been a year?! The hand tracking is by far my favorite update, pure magic! Thanks, Tyriel! Keep them coming and also nice shirts!

After months of being out of stock I finally was able to order one during the weekend. Can't wait to try what would be my first VR headset.

Really glad I bought the quest right before the Quest craze hit and they began running out of stock. I bought it mid november and eventhough it made me broke at the time it was the best purchase I've made in a while. I got so much out of it and it became a gift that kept on giving!

Great video. I've been wanting a quest since it dropped and am finally maybe about to get one this month. Your video answered all my questions and then some. Keep up the great work

I have been obsessed with the quest since I heard first heard news of it. I think that this headset has given me tremendous value and I can't what for what other things come to it this year. I think anyone who hasn't bought one yet needs one!

Hey Tyriel! Hope you're well. I still love my Quest, even after almost a year of ownership. This headset has just kept getting better and better with time, and now is so much improved on the original headset, thanks to Oculus Link, hand tracking and Sidequest. I believe that the Quest is still the best value headset on the market right now. No other headset can offer the variety of features that the Quest delivers, at such an amazing price.
Thank you for another fantastic video, i always look forwar to watcing them.
All the best Tyriel, take care and stay safe :-)

I just got my quest yesterday.
I love it. Sidequest and the modding really gives this Headset value.
And it is cheap to buy, has OLED and the picture is more clear than a vive.

I love the quest it self, it's an amazing piece of tech, and for me as a VR enthusiast it makes a fantastic 2nd headset, and mobile VR machine. on the hardware side I've found the quest is very bare bones, you quickly start to realize how much extra stuff you need to improve the experience.

I've got the deluxe audio strap $100 new but i already had it for my vive, an AMVR travel case $30, AMVR grip covers $28, 3rd party oculus link cable and extension $25 (no longer needed), VR covers face pad $30, VR covers DAS pad $25, and a battery pack these range from $10-$50. even discounting the DAS, which i already had from my vive, , this is still over $100 of extras, and can easily run $200+ if you get pricey versions of these things, and there are still various other things you can add. you could easily spend $700 to get the most out of your quest. you dont need all that, especially if you're a more casual VR user, but it shows that there are a ton of improvements that should be made to the design, relatively small changes could remove the need for a lot of this gear.

my biggest complaint though is with oculus, not the headset. first off, their game prices are terrible, and nothing ever goes on significant sale for the quest, and none of the oculus exclusives, even after several years see any serious discount or sale. right now for their 1 year quest anniversary sale they have only 20% off at most, and some stuff much less. yesterdays daily deal was star trek bridge crew, for $25, that's a 2 and a half year old game, and it was the daily deal, during the sale, only 20% off full MSRP.

and worse still is the lack of user accounts, to allow you to share the headset, and locking link usage behind your account so if you have another headset and want to play a multiplayer game, and let someone else use your quest with link to play with you, you have to log them into your facebook account on their machine, when plugged in with link it should operate like any other headset without being tied to an account.

again, the quest is great, i highly recommend it, but it could be a lot better.

Love your video style Tyriel! My Quest just shipped and this video helped reaffirm getting it this close to the next Quest. Thank you!

I doubt anyone will answer since this video came out a month ago, but are any of the graphics, latency, and screen door effects that much worse than the Rift S, because for me its really depending on which one is more available. I have the VR ready PC.
