I never watched WCCW, never knew it existed. Going down the rabbit hole tonight.

I used to love watching the Von Erichs every Saturday. I lived in a small town outside of Dallas. Kerry was my favorite!

that 6 man match was incredible...total old school chaos and great story telling...the Von Erichs in Texas was something special...i dont think you'll ever see a love affair between fans and wrestlers ever again like there was between Texas fans and that family

Just a ring placed on the Cowboys star at the 50 yard line, seats on the field, and a blockbuster card to boot.

This was how magical wrestling used to be.

I was at this 1st Parade of Champions. I was 9 years old & i can remember it like it happened last week. The main thing i remember is after Kerry won the title match at how fast Kevin, Mike & Chris was in that ring to celebrate & then a couple of minutes later a lot of the other wrestlers came to the ring to celebrate with Kerry. Kerry was always my favorite Von Erich so, it was an awesome experience that i will never forget. I also seen them all at the Dallas Sportatorium & they came to wrestle at both of the schools i was in once when i was in elementary & once when i was in junior high. I got all of their autographs except for Chris. If you will remember the 1st Wrestlemania was the very next year in 1985. When Vince McMahon saw how many people showed up for this WCCW event i think that's when he got the idea for Wrestlemania. The WCCW started a lot of things like putting cameras & microphones in & on the ring. To be honest i really think that this is where Vince McMahon got all of his ideas from for the WWF.

I’m from Atlanta used to watch this on channel 36. I remember that intro like it was yesterday That intro song will grab you to watch world-class championship wrestling.

Im 31 years old. Its safe to say this is WAY better then the last standing promotion now WWE. How the crowd pops puts you in the moment and does much more then anything fancy the WWE spends money on.

I think Flair saying "There ain't going to be any trouble - but I'll be back" is one of the most under rated moments ever in wrestling, Made you wonder when you saw it as a kid if wrestling really was fake :) Great stuff and a great channel!
