"Sunshine" Valerie French was SO GOOD. For someone so new to the business, her promos were amazing. Like Gary Hart, she had a special connection to fans, and a gift for making her angles feel real.

Bill Mercer Absolutely was the all-time best announcer sports announcer for wrestling. He was good in any sport he just had that voice that was really good.

The best wrestling organization of all time, imo. I loved Gino. To me, he and the Von Ericks were the all-time greats.

I caught World Class at 9am on Saturdays. Nothing beat the territories in the 80’s.

1982 to late 1985 world class was the best.
Losing David von Erich was the beginning of the end of world class.

This WCCW TV episode was the first return of the Fabulous Freebirds to World Class after their short run in the WWF/E.

My brother and I would watch WCCW on Saturday nights on a syndicated channel in the Pittsburgh area. Great memories. And the new movie The Iron Claw does a solid job of recapturing those moments and the feeling of that era of wrestling.

Ive decided to become a wccw fan, and to learn more about the company. This is my first time actuallly watching anything from the company. Is super interesting so far, but have a feeling that itll be next to impossible to actually continue watching

This show was very advanced but this episode was a recap with only one actual match that lasted less than 2 minutes. Usually had great shows though. I was shocked the first time I saw it where there was only one squash and three quality matches. The ratio was usually closer to the opposite, even on the other NWA shows. And even though I have pleasant memories of it they were far ahead of the WWF as far as their TV went (until late 86 when the WWF gave their shows a facelift but it didn’t take them but a year to go back to almost all squash matches).
