Iron Man Causes The Marvel Zombies In New What If Final Trailer FOOTAGE

There’s a new trailer out for the What if tv show that’s being developed for Disney plus and made for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A piece of this universe that has caught the eye of thousands of fans is the marvel zombies run that the show will feature. Well, I’m here to give you a theory on Marvel Zombies and also break down a little bit more of the snippets we got.

So, first, we get an image of Tony collapsed on the ground, much to the surprise of Black Widow and Nick Fury. You’ll remember this is from a scene in Iron Man 2. Iron Man 2 features Tony with an infection that runs up his neck, which was poison from the arc reactor in his chest, that was going to kill him until Black Widow had a cure she gave him and poof he was fine. But, from the looks of this What If, Tony instead collapses, and the poison corrupts him into a marvel zombie.
Now, I know your first instinct is to tell me that based off the marvel zombies episode, we’ve only seen the characters wearing their infinity war suits, how can it be in the iron man episode. Of which, I counter with what if the marvel zombie infection began in 2011 and has run 7 years into 2018, into infinity war. Meaning, that would give time for Bucky to be less brainwashed, for Cap to experience events up to civil war which is the suit he is wearing as a marvel zombie. Now, I know what you’re thinking: If Iron Man has been a zombie this whole time, then how can he have upgraded his armour from his iron man 2 one to his infinity war one? Well, I’d argue that just because the character is a zombie, doesn’t mean they don’t retain the knowledge of the host. Example A: Iron Man is holding his repulsor at somebody, would a brainless zombie know how to use a repulsor? No, so the tony zombie is just as smart as Tony is. Example B: Captain America, even as a zombie retains all his knowledge on combat, still holding his own against Bucky in a fight.
Infinity war is also a very good book end to the marvel zombie run because it provides a nice happy ending to the whole mess, through the collection of the infinity stones. Now, let’s say that the stones are collected but this time, instead of Thanos wielding the gauntlet to fix everything, it’s instead a hero. Now, I know it wouldn’t be Thanos because we can see that the black order are now zombies in the background of this image here, so that means that Thanos must be too. But, that also means that Black Widow and Nick Fury are both the first ones after Tony to become zombies.
Personally, if I’m right, I hope I’m not, because there is a running theory that the bio weapon that crossbones tried to steal in civil war is the cause of the zombie outbreak, but who knows.
The rest of the images feature the what if episodes of an antman yellow jacket cross, meaning maybe what if Hany Pym had mentored Darren Cross, and Darren Cross became the new ant man in that(with the yellow jacket spin on things).
Then there is Star Lord being found working at the dairy queen we saw in guardians 2, found by Ego, because we know Yondu to have picked up T'Challa instead. Ego clearly getting star lord to enact his vision to engulf the universe in himself.
Lastly, the destroyer is in Jotunheim, possibly from the loki what if episode where is ruler of asgard. He likely sent the destroyer there to eradicate the frost giants in hopes of erasing Loki’s frost giant roots, now that he is king of asgard which is something he’s always wanted.

Here's the thing tho, if you look at the scene where its zombie cap vs bucky. You can see yellow accents on his metal arm so it would be the vibranium arm that he got after civil war so they could be two different what if episodes.
