I tried a Yellow Peel/Chemical Peel for my skin #chemicalpeel #skincare #ashortaday

Hi guys, I tried the Yellow Peel at @blanco_aesthetics and it is basically a mix of actives like Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Phytic Acid, Vit A, Kojic Acid, etc,

The peel is kept on for 4 to 8 hours, we did 4 hours for first session, 6 hours for second and so on. I noticed a little purging after the 2nd session, it is normal for the skin to purge after the peel. The dead skin starts peeling 2 days after and the peeling happens in parts and can go on for 2-3 days.

For 7 days, you need to skip all your actives and only use a gentle cleanser, lot of moisturiser and sunscreen as the skin would stretch and hurt if dry, especially around the mouth.

The doc would recommend 3 to 6 sessions as per the skin’s requirement but I saw a major difference after one session itself. I would highly recommend this a week before any special occasion and if you are a bride to be, I recommend 3 sessions at least. Every session needs a gap of 20-30 days.

But overall, my stubborn PIH finally faded and my skin looks much more even toned, hydrated and glowing. Zero filter or makeup here, as always when it comes to skincare.

I have seen you picking your skin after the peel, you are removing the dead skin with your hand, many tell it would lead to further scarring and pigmentation, but your skin looks glossier and healthy, how come?
are we not supposed to pick the peel skin, I mean the dead skin? please reply to me I am planning to get a chemical peel very soon

I am not sure if my peeling is different but every session my dermat reminds me again and again to not peel it or pluck the hanging or peeling skin. If in case I find a need to, he asked to just cut it off as close as possible but to be careful and not cut myself :P He warned me about having mild to serious scarring which might need another procedure or topical product application.
