The Worst Dreamworks Villains (And Why They Suck!)

Dreamworks Animation; While they have created some great and memorable villains throughout dozens and dozens of films, they have also given us some villains that we aren’t as fond of. Today, we’ve narrowed our picks down to the six absolute worst. Whether they were generic, annoying, unintimidating, or all three, these are the villains we could do without! #dreamworks

Mrs. Grunion's reason is probably because the idea of a dog being the kid's father was very confusing and very impossible.

With the bit about Makunga being similar to Scar makes me think back to that Brian Hull video of the Ethical Bug interviewing some of the DreamWorks villains.

“Quick question. (Holds up a poster of The Lion King) Have you ever heard of copyright infringements?”

(Holds up an image of Jiminy Cricket from Disney’s Pinocchio) “Have you?”

“Fair point.”

Bee Movie is essentially a meme pretending to be a film, so I can’t really say that I think Layton is too terrible of a villain. Plus, his line delivery is hilarious.

Tbh with Shrek the Third it just seems like the writers thought "what if the king died and Shrek didn't want to take the throne?" And they needed a villain so they brought Charming back

Vincent The Bear is my favorite DreamWorks villain, and I'm glad to see he wasn't included on this list. He may have been the main antagonist of the film Over The Hedge, but he isn't as evil as many think that he is, and nobody really seems to get if RJ hadn't of tried to steal all of the bear's food. Then he wouldn't have tried to kill him in the first place. Though he was happy RJ was willing to backstab the other animals, and when they did absolutely nothing to him he tried to kill them too. There's plenty of villains who've done worse than him like Lord Shen from Kung Fu Panda 2, and Bowser from Illumination's The Super Mario Bros Movie.🖤🤎🐻

I think Gallaxar is an awesome villain still, but I do agree you have some seriously good points that count against him here.

Let’s face it, the fact Guy was a twist villain sealed his fate

Yeah Prince Charming is one of the worst villains I’ve ever seen. He’s not intimidating, he’s not interesting, he’s not pure evil, and he’s not an active threat. Instead, he’s Whinny, he’s annoying, he’s a complete joke, and he’s motive and plan are both stupid. He’s much better as a side antagonist like in Shrek 2. He should’ve been a side villain in Shrek the Third, not the main villain. And this is why you never have a side antagonist become a main one.

Prince Charming is the depiction of what you get when a theater kid is traumatised. Also, there is good fan-fiction with him. He's fine

Considering I'm 98% sure I did watch Turbo as a kid, but I don't even remember the villan being a character in the movie to begin with until he was brought up in this video, I think that should tell you something.

I actually love both Prince Charming and Big Bad Wolf/Death from *Shrek the Third and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.* Those two are the Perfect Worthy Adversaries to both Shrek and Puss in Boots.

When you consider the original motivation behind Shrek, it's honestly no surprise why they made Charming bland. It's kind of highlighting how some of Disney's original Prince Charming characters, i.e. Snow White and Cinderella, were very one-note, virtually characterless, and with those two the movie doesn't even name them (not counting if they only show up in credits or wiki fandoms).

Unpopular opinion: I like Gallaxhar, Mukanga, and Layton T. Montgomery.

The only thing that makes Layton T. Montgomery even mildly interesting is the fact that he was kind of right in the end; he warns Barry that his actions would disrupt the balance of nature, which is what happens.

Guy Gagne, Ercole Visconti from Luca, Tentacular from Rumble, Archie Vainglorius from Rally Road Racers and Jormungandr from the DuckTales reboot episode "Rumble For Ragnarok" are all just the same character lol

I kind of like General Mandible, he was voiced by Gene Hackman, sending all the soldier ants which leads all to their deaths, a military coup to overthrow the Queen Ant, and his final line is very iconic.

You know i honestly was expecting Ken from Bee Movie to appear on the list.

There aren't that many bad villains, I see. Pretty comendable on Dreamworks's part.
