As of April 30, over 1 million people have officially recovered from COVID-19. Unofficially, that number is probably much higher. But the road to recovery isn't always a smooth one. The timeline differs from person to person, but generally, the sicker they are, the longer it takes to get better. Here's what recovering from COVID-19 looks like, day by day.

my uncle is that 5%... he has gained a hole in his lung and gained pulmonary fibrosis... we are waiting for a miracle... prayers work i know it and I have faith he will make it and my aunt will stop suffering from the pain of knowing he may be gone soon... take care everyone... 😢🙏🏻♥️

Edit: he has passed away june 2nd after 2 months of being in the hospital

Hi everyone I appreciate all the support and nice comments, he was entering the hospital around march 25th has been up and down, doctors did everything possible and a lot of waiting after several different procedures, finally he was slightly well enough for a surgery to view his lungs and close the hole... later finding out his lungs were filled with puss and they did what they could from that surgery... then it was just waiting for him to recover around May 30th till future and i’m am very sad to say he by himself just left his body... he passed away June 2nd at 1:00pm on his own... we are very sad but this was gods plan... we don’t understand why but i hope someday we do... thank you all 💔💔💔💔 stay safe and hold your loved ones tight❤️

Hi everyone. I just heard that my mom had cancer and coronavirus. Me and my family members think she got the virus from the doctors because someone had the virus on the same floor shes staying at. Please pray for her. I dont know what I would do without her.

Day 1-5: really bad stomach pain (similar to the pain of a stomach ulcer); body shivers, fevers, diarrhea, headaches, fatigue
Day 6-10: low grade fevers, fatigue, chest tightness, body chills, sore throat
Day 11-15: chest tightness, low grade fevers, fatigue, cough, loss of taste and smell (tested positive for COVID-19)
Day 16-20: sinus headaches, cough, continued loss of taste and smell
Day 25: most of my covid symptoms were gone, slowly regained my sense of taste and smell, only had a residual cough
By day 30 I tested negative for Covid-19

Bro I don’t wish COVID on my enemies. I’m currently battling COVID and it feels like hell. Headaches that won’t stop and cough that makes your chest hurt and causes more coughing, a weak body and ongoing body chills. Not to mention your whole body hurts. I’ve never had a worse sickness than this

Great video, extremely well done! Could there be a possibility of producing a revised one with the latest experiences about recovery? It would once again be immensely helpful, I believe.

Thank you for the well-made visuals. I have friends in another state that are doing better but are in for a long road ahead; this helped me better understand their situation.

We're all so focused on deaths, and it's been an easy way for skeptics to compare those numbers to other things that kill and brush it off. I think if more people understood the nightmare of surviving it, they would be more scared to get it. The footage from inside the Italian hospital really should have painted the picture- For every death there are multitudes more who will become severely ill, and you do not want to become severely ill with this. You might never be the same.
