These are literally my favorite Yugioh videos on youtube.

One deck I would love to see your analysis on:

Quickdraw Dandywarrior - the variant which was featured in the YCS Edison format that Jeff Jones ultimately piloted to tournament victory.

In fact that entire event had such an unbelievable diversity of interesting and viable decks you could probably devote an entire episode to Edison. Love Billy Brakes synchro cat variant with 3 doomcal.

I actually loved this deck in 2012. The resource management, control and toolbox style of this deck had a soft spot for my heart.

I think the most interesting part of this gear deck is how much it changed and evolved from YCS Chicago earlier in the year in terms of card choices. Easily one of the most interesting years of yugioh with the amount of decks that were meta.

Its hard to say what deck from that format was my favourite, but gears are def one of my top decks of all time 👍 glad to see them profiled, cheers!

Til this day my absolute favorite deck. I never again saw a deck, that was so much fun for me… i got my most competitive success with this. Funny enough, i found an old deck list from a regional i topped in 2014 a few days ago and it’s card by card the same list.

Oh man this was my first regional top during this format.

admittedly late on this comment but this list is especially interesting when contrasted with the Synchro Geargia list that Chris LeBlanc also topped the NAWCQ with - though the few sources for that list online only have 38 maindeck cards listed

I would love to hear you talk about lightsworns in some capacity, whether it be in Glad Beast format, Edison/pre edison, or in this format with dragon rulers

One of my favorite old school decks. Great video as always. What do you think of the Ancient Gear Box/Machina Fortress variants of Geargia?

Am I the only one that really likes that archetype because all of the main deck monsters have the silly googly eyes? It's not just a good deck, it's also funny to look at.

Could you explain why basically nobody in the TCG played the triple Emergency Teleport + Psychic Commander in the TCG when playing Geargia Karakuri? I remember never asking myself that back then? But now looking back I have no idea why

Sam Pedigo bought a huge stack of Geargiagear before he won to resell lol.
Including Giant Hand is fair. What's crazy is that some modern decks have engine cards that total to the 2014 price of Giant Hand for a playset.

I played this format back in the day, but I can’t remember if the Karakuri variant of this deck was as popular during this time. Do you remember if it was or was it more popular in earlier formats?
