How to win a tug of war...Hold the brakes, wait until the other guy starts spinning tires, hit the gas.

For the most part all of these tug of war competitions are just traction contests.

I purchased ecodiesel few monts ago I love it but if I purchased ford f 150 ecoboost I would love that truck too ... it's personal choice for everyone we are lucky to live in part of world where we can choose and afford. ..

Diesel engine typically means more weight + higher torque on the low end especially.

Love to see both trucks strapped to 8, 000lbs of trailer and seeing who got to 60mph first.

Weight equals traction. Spinning your tires equals no traction.

Basically whoever broke traction first lost

guy in the ford is a rookie on how to do this. tug of wars only determine 3 things, traction, weight, and the driver foot

Look at the ford being lightweight and having no grip lol

How to win a tug of war...have your hitch higher than the other truck's. Their rear will be pulled up and weigh less, yours will be pulled down and weigh more. Lighter weight will usually spin.

More torque and more steel=more pulling power.

the thing is the ecodiesel has the torque and weight on its side the aluminum body may be good for payload but does not have the same weight for pulling

Half ton vs A FREAKING DIESEL... Only a Ford owner would have the faith to try it.

Even though I’m glad the dodge won, I can’t help but say that it’s really a competition to see whose better at dragging shit with a pickup truck. When you gas it, you spin your tires and have no traction, when you slowly add fuel you slowly pull away. Also if you lock the breaks up then they can’t drag you very far, not as far as you would if you spin the tires around.

Tug of wars are indeed contests of traction. But in this particular case, that's only part of the equation. The Ram has a steel body and steel block engine. Versus the aluminum block and aluminum body f150. More weight is more traction.

still rather keep my ford they last longer than any other pickup I've had Dodge, Chevy and ford, the ford has towed the best and lasted the longest. We all have our opinion and ill stick with my Ford!
