Okay, one major bit:

Pull-off pissing contests, come down to who has the best traction, angle, cojones (well, tolerance for damage), etc. Hell, a better set of tires on one over the other would be sufficient to 'win' such a contest.

Now towing performance, longevity, drive comfort, cornering, features, bang-for-buck... *those* are what make the better truck.
