I have the Grizzly 400 and I recently added the 1/2 HP ActiveAQUA chiller with a 1600 GPH Danner pump and I setup 2
Culligan HF-360B filters (1 charcoal, 1 standard) . However, 4 days into this new setup, the pump stopped working. I've ordered a replacement pump, but I'm wondering what might have caused the pump to fail if it wasn't just a bad pump. A friend mentioned maybe the double filter being an issue - I don't expect you to know, but you said you had a network of people who might, so I thought it was worth asking. Thanks!

Dude, you are over thinking this. Think of your cool plunge tank as a small swimming pool. Use the same chemicals for the number of gallons you have. No more slime. The chemical cost for 150 gal is close to nothing. if you already have a pool just do the math for your gal size. 35% Hydrogen peroxide is close to the oxidizer used in rocket fuel. It will burn you and rust everything it come in contact with. The bigger filter is great.
