This is a follow up video to Jared's "Social Drumming Challenge". In this video you will see whether or not Jared was successful in his attempt to learn the hardest pattern he's ever tried.

Iv seen Virgil a few times and was obsessed with this pattern. The key is to play it and then make the transition without stopping by altering the double paradiddle From left side to right side after it loops. The thing that helped me master this pattern was to to choose weather you want to count the whole thing in six or four. I personally count it in six which means the single paradiddle is played as 4 but counted as six. I practiced this intensely for months and it helped.

This is happening because you are too tense when you play; you tighten your grip too much. I don´t know if you been playing something that´s really challenging or whatever, but I´m fairly sure this is why.
It also happened to me... I fixed it by putting a little piece of cloth around my stick (around the bit where I grip) and by just focusing on holding it a bit looser. It really helps, man.

Hey Jared, for some reason when I'm playing drums I get this blinding pain between my forefinger and my thumb and it's really painful, I've been playing for a good 6 years and this never occurred until recently and I've never changed my grip. If you reply to this I'll be extremely happy :D
