I unfollowed a huge male streamer (millions of subscribers) because he kept doing this even with gaming female character. And so did his chat. I looked at him and kept thinking “how do you even have the audacity to judge these beautiful women looking like this?” The craziest part was one day he went on a rant about how women would fake hype their friends in their comments by calling them beautiful when in reality they were ugly. My sisters husband could not comprehend how I said I never rated anyone. He said he did that a lot. I said, "how pathetic and insecure do I have to be to rate someone on looks. It's stupid and inherently false".

I didn't realize how much men did this till him.

Rating people on physical appearance has become so commonplace now, it’s disgusting. Watch any street interview/rating video and the women will almost always rate themselves 5-7, and if they DARE to rate above a 7, the men will rip them to shreds in the comments for “not being humble.” And the best part? The men will rate the women around 7 (usually below) and themselves much higher. Imagine rating a gorgeous women a 7 max, and then rating yourself an 8.5?! 😂

When you mentioned Margot Robbie I inmediately thought of how, as you said, when she portrayed a very mentally unstable and sexualized Harley Quinn that was madly in love with the Joker and would put up with his abuse in Suicide Squad (2016), men would call her the perfect woman and the ideal girlfriend, yet when Harley separated from him and became her own strong and independent character who dressed for herself and not for the male gaze in Birds of Prey (2020), they all turned on her instantly, shitting on the movie saying how it was stupid feminist propaganda and mocking her appearance like there was no tomorrow. It has always been the one example i refer to when explaining the female vs male gaze to someone and how all men really care about is how appealing a woman is to them. They all dismissed her character growth and how her changing her appearence is actually a great and meaningful thing and jumped to bashing her for not being sexy enough

Men being toxic online has rly transitioned to them being ruthless in-person. Recently, I was involved in a car accident. I was merging and the guy didn’t want me in front, so he accelerated and sped just for me to not merge, however I had already merged, so what did he do? He literally hit the side of my car and tried to get me into an accident. When we pulled over, I noticed only MEN coming to help HIM. Mind you, he’s the one that hit me and tried flipping my car with my dogs inside. There were about 6 men that just talked to him and asked if he was ok, but totally ignored me and kept making rude expressions towards me. Also one of them said, “f**king women”. I made sure my car was locked the entire time and when they left, I just started bawling. I couldn’t believe he hit me and tried to get me into a bigger accident. However, only the men went to him and asked if he was fine, when his car had no scratches or anything. My poor car was left with a big bump on the side, tire marks, scratches, and his truck’s paint to forever remind me of this incident. Then, when I told my bf’s male friends about this, they didn’t believe me and got all weird with me. I’m honestly scared to drive now because it’s mostly men road raging and then blaming everyone else and murmuring “women” under their breaths
