Restoring a Tesla BM365U RC oscillator (RC generator) from the 1970s with vacuum tubes. It generates a sine wave signal from 25 Hz to 30 kHz.

It never ceases to amaze me how you always manage to solve various faults and problems. Great job as usual!

Tesla made some nice quality components and test equipment. Even their brand name looks classy with the art deco font.

It might be worth mentioning that the lightbulb stabilised Wien bridge oscillator was invented by Bill Hewlett and was Hewlett-Packard's first product back in 1939. Prior to this invention high purity sine wave oscillators with a stable amplitude were very large and expensive.

Many thanks again for a fantastic video and your time :) Title should read Pozor! žádný hasicí přístroj! so we have to do something about that ;) I know I do not have to do Czech but I hope in someway I am making a smile for return of appreciation of your hard work Mr. divoká dioda lol sorry best translation I could get 🤔😅Anyway, děkuji příteli :)

I love your restoration videos. Today I got this thing except it doesn't have the "U" letter in the end of the name. I got it from teacher at a secondary industrial school in Písek that I'm studying at. Planning to restore it in a near future so this video is really helpful. Thank you for your great work, keep it up!

I like the older and vintage test gear, built for a purpose and not a price.

20:56 you could use the FFT feature to minimize the distortion by setting the potentiometer.

It's said the darkness inside the tube is lead from the glass. High speed electrons smash the glass and (maybe) extracted the lead outside out of the glass. Darkness in a tube is always used to visually determine the tube's life.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I really appreciate your explanations.

Nice!
I have not seen a wien bridge oscillator using tubes before (when this thing was built, operation amplifiers probably didn't even exist) 🙂

I wonder if you could use something like pPFC choke from old ATX in series with mains to lower the voltage.

How do you use it, anyway? Asking for a friend.

Add parallel resistors to tune it and preserve the authentic character

Tesla kd 502, 503 mocne tranzystory(ogólnie podzespoły są mocne)😉. Zamiast 2n3055. Produkcja elementów w szczegółności za czasów Czechosłowacji lepsza jak w Polsce.🙂Mam zbudowany na tych podzespołach wzmacniacz mocy i jest niezawodny.
