Hello, thank you for this video. I have a dataset of companies and I want to calculate means of monthly salariy and create a new variable. I have companies unique identifier, thus for the same VAT I might have different means for corresponding employees. I tried to split the file by it seems that I didn't manage to have one mean per unique identifier.

I have been told I need to use Syntax for my dissertation; Is the method for computing subscale means different in Syntax (I have no idea if I need to exclusively use this 'syntax' thing, or whether I can use the SPSS I am more familiar with, like this vid. :( Stuck!
