Born and raised in Bakersfield. We still feel the effects of the lake today. Mainly with thick Tule Fog in the winter, which is the biggest cause of accidents in the state during winter.

Forget Bakersfield. Anything they can do to Stockton would be an improvement.

So, California intentionally erased Tulare Lake and accidentally created the Salton Sea.

I'm a local, The lake came back for a year, and we had the most clean air days in history. They need to bring it back permanently and use it as a reservoir. All the land is owned by multi million ag corporations that donate to both Reps and Dems though to ensure it never happens.

This lake will never permanently exist because huge farming conglomerates own the land and they intend to farm it.

Tulare lake was essentially relocated...to Isabella Lake, Lake Success, and Lake Kaweah. It's just now kept at higher elevation, behind dams, so the water can drain on demand into the fields, requiring no additional pumping, and not be wasted draining into the ocean.

I like the new sour, wisecracking Beaver. And yes, a lake would be an improvement over Bakersfield.

I have NEVER heard you so spicy and sarcastic before, making so many jokes and taking so many jabs in a video before! I love it! Hilarious and not at all expected. Super happy to see you must be REALLY growing far more comfortable and confident than ever before. I've been around since near the very start of your channel, and this really feels like a new you. Keep it up!
Also the specific point when Tulare got rapidly drained via canals, channels and other irrigation methods was with the arrival of a failed business mogul from the east coast who moved to the lake with the intention to drain it and turn it into a massive cotton plantation. The family still owns and controls the land there now, still cotton pickin'.

Was interesting that you showed a Tyrannosaurus next to it's target pry, #46 B-rex dinosaur, but not the current dinosaur #47 the HairDye-rex.

For the record we have roughly 150 years of data for California and it is not getting more dry. For example this year happens to be very dry but last year was very wet as was the year before.
California has historically a few years of what followed by a few years of dry. Bad water management is most of California's problems and politicians instead of accepting blame for a problem that has been going on for the last 60 years would rather blame the climate.
