Me, my wife and sister in law are visiting Japan at the beginning of of October 2024. We stay the first couple of days in Tokyo in Shinjuku. We are looking for some proper bars/clubs where you can enjoy the evening to its fullest, somewhere where it’s not to expensive and honest for tourist. Besides Tokyo, we are visiting Osaka and Kyoto…

Love this! I live in Shizuoka right now and was living in Tokyo for two years before. There are always so many things to discover new! Thanks for the Inspo 😊 Have you been to Shizuoka before?

5:51 Also take note that the mobile IC card is only available in iOS with only Suica, ICOCA, and PASMO available. Apparently, Japanese android phones support mobile IC cards

Helpful video, thanks! For visitors the first most important thing is to learn about the culture and the norms. Japan is a place hugely driven by its culture and you miss a lot if you don't learn about it and be respectful of it. Not disturbing others in the shared spaces is a big cultural value so things like being quiet on the trains is very important, not sitting on the ground in public, loud drunkenness, blocking the sidewalk etc. Please don't ruin local areas for residents by posting private places on your Instagram for clicks. Japan is amazing but its a place where everyone benefits if you do your research and follow the norms.

If you are going to Japan for the first time and have only about a week, go to Kyoto! Stay in Kyoto and take day trips to Osaka, Nara. I think Tokyo is not that great.
