With the Season 14, Respawn has finally added a way to get a guaranteed free heirloom by expanding the maximum level to 2000, this allows all the players to get more than 500 apex loot boxes and as an heirloom is guaranteed at 500th box everyone can get one! How to get heirloom shards:
Step by step guide

1. Buy the battlepass
2. Grind battlepass
3. Level up your account
4. Repeat

I got my first heirloom shards at level 400 and i only bought two battlepasses.

Another tip is to buy the story thingy, you can get crafting metals and apex packs there.

By the way, playing Arena is FAR faster at gaining points per minute than playing in BR. Rounds get over quickly and if you run with a decent squad you can finish a game in 10-12 minutes rather than 15+ and you get about the same Points (if not more).

i actually didnt know about the xp multiplier in the battlepass. i just max it by playing the game. i new playing with friends helped but not by that much. got 3 heirlooms but wanna collect them all eventually.

Now that the team deathmatch is out it's easier. I did the calculations for you and it would take about 167 of playtime to go from lvl 1 to lvl 2000 (just time alive counted not kills etc.) Every deatch match is about 15 minutes and thats 3000 xp in time alive so if you want to lvl up I think this is the best way (you can get a lot of kills aswell)
Ps. If 167 days of your life are worth less than 160 bucks for the heirloom I think you should go see someone or go out or find a hobby or sum

Staying alive doesn't give you exponential points. therefore, not dying is not any better than risking getting a kill and joining a new game. Sure you want to minimize the time spent in the lobby, but that minute can be easily overcome by damage and kills. So with that being said, the best strategy is a function of your skill level. You can look at your k/d and avg damage and win ratio to calculate the average points gain (in an aggressive match) and determine if it overcomes the time spent in the lobby.

1:50 so.. ehh... I was a bit confused. 36k XP per level between 400 to 500? Well.. I guess that is *technically* correct (the best kind of correct), but not made very clear. From Level 57 all the way up to Prestige 1 Level 100 (i.e. Level 600) it is actually "only" 18k XP per level. The aforementioned 36k XP is for *Prestige* level 400-500 (i.e. 900-1000).

Would it be faster to play areas instead (as solo). One time when I survived to the last 2 I got around 1500 points and the game lasted around 12 minutes. My arena game give me around 1200 but the time is only around 7 minutes. I would love to see a video on this or just an answer.
