David Koresh: The Adopted Son - Part One

I explain the unique theological circumstances that existed in the Branch Davidian message as it was in 1981 that allowed for David Koresh aka Vernon Howell to become the "adopted son" of Lois Roden and qualifying him for entrance into the House of David.

Thank you for recording your memories of events and also uploading the primary sources that you have. I appreciate your intelligent analysis and also your compassion for everyone involved. I have already learned a lot from you, and I have only watched and listened to a few of your videos so far. I will continue to watch more of them. I have one correction to offer on this video. When I was interviewing Clive Doyle in 2003-04, he told me that he was Lois Roden's printer. He was also her co-editor. He said that everything that was inside the vault survived the fire in 1983 when the Administration Building burned down. This is in Clive Doyle' autobiography, A Journey to Waco, on page 113: "The only thing that survived was the vault, and nothing inside it burned. All the church records and files and other things that were in the vault were not touched by the 1983 fire." It is my understanding from Clive that all of the copies of Lois Roden's tracts and pamphlets were stored in the vault. He gave me original copies of Lois Roden's tracts and pamphlets, and an original collection of the newsletter named SHEkinah. I'm not sure, but I think that the printing press that Clive used to print these was also in the vault. In those days, the vault had a vault door on it. Later, when the Branch Davidians returned to Mount Carmel after living at the Palestine camp while others traveled to places like California and Hawaii, and when they started tearing down the little houses at Mount Carmel, the large building was built with the vault at its center as the base of the central tower. Clive told me that the door to the vault was removed at one point to move in a walk-in refrigerator. After the vault door was removed, a curtain was hung in the open doorway. This is how the FBI operator of a Combat Engineering Vehicle on April 19, 1993, was able to drive through the building and spray CS gas through the open doorway of the former vault. The former vault was considered to be the safest place in the building, and that is where the mothers, young children, and two pregnant women took shelter on April 19 from the CS gas and the CEVs. But the former vault/concrete room had an open doorway. At any rate, I wanted to let you know that Lois' tracts and pamphlets and copies of SHEkinah survived the fire that burned down the Administration Building in 1983. Clive believed that the fire was caused by an electrical fire in the ceiling. I look forward to learning more from your videos. You know a lot of history in general, in addition to your personal experiences with the Branch Davidians.

I would really love to know more about how he just knew the bible.... every word.... like it was downloaded into his brain. People have said that he knew every word and his interpretation was so exquisite and right on.... Can you elaborate?

Im not sure that is correct about cubits. I believe there is a common Egyptian, and royal cubit.
