If your generator has no power here is an easy way to test the stator. You don’t need to remove it from the engine to test it.

Don’t forget to follow and comment.

Thanks for watching.

Don't forget to check continuity between the stator winding and chasis ground. Should be open. Thanks for the video sir.

What are the two pairs of wires in the four pin plug and how do you tell them apart?
My avr has a different plug from the generator but does suit its specs. I just need to match the sense and excite connections on the generator to the avr

Great videos as always!!!
Quick question, I have a 2400 watt generator, starts up fine and runs. Power output 120v (North America), but it outputs 120v at the outlet, then fades out, then back on, then fades out… keeps doing this the whole time it’s running. What could that be? I ordered a new AVR, and still not any better. Thanks for your help

Okay you got it and make sure. You leave me at least ten feet so I could stick him and sling him in the box... They should know all those terms ahead of time right

is that stator off a harbor freight generator? it looks just like the one I'm messing with. I have open circuit on both sides of the AVR plug, but if I touch the two power wires together I get continuity through it.
