You can bind potions to keybinds using vanilla Terraria mechanics: for example, h for healing potions.

I love all the wonderful references in Terraria :) TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES! _(Turtles, count it off!)_

Pro Tip: You can only break chests if they are empty. There is also a hard-coded limit as to how many chests you can have in one world (it's a couple hundred, i wouldn't worry unless you go nuts with storage).

Instead of scrolling down your list of craftables, you can click that little hammer near your crafting output to see a list of all the things you can craft at the present time, with the items adn tools that you have. Click one of the items, and you will jump to it, and immediately be able to craft it.

Campfire give you a regeneration status effect. They're nice to have around. Also, there are many, many status effects, including different types of the same effect (for example, campfires and heart lamps both give you regen, but the effect stacks. two campfires will not stack). You can have up to two rows of effects on your character before they start getting wasted; you can remove positive effects by clicking them.

Wooden platforms will let you use space more efficiently. You can put items on them, but you can go through them adn stand on them. For example, when you have a lot of storage or two many crafting machines to put all in a row, you can make use of vertical space using platforms. You probably know this, but platforms are also great for quick stairs in caves and bridges over water.

You probably want to convert all your ores to ingots as soon as you're back at base. There's not really any other use for the ore, except decoration. Also, crafting ingots costs you nothing.

When upgrading your pick, the thing you probably want to look at first is pickaxe power, that's your mining level.

Also, fun fact: items in Terraria come with a chance for a random enchant when you craft them. That's the colored text in the tooltip. Later, you'll be able to use a merchant to reforge the item for gold.

Finding those little house-dungeons is one of the best parts of Terraria. Be sure to pick up any statues you see too. Many of them are like redstone-powered spawners, and are great for farming things.

You can pick up items and break things through one-layer walls. Eventually, you might even get weapons that have a huge reach, and pierce walls many blocks, which are great for those enemies that phase through the ground.

Living wood is just the wood that trees are made out of. When you break a tree, you can only place down wood that looks like planks. You need your living wood wand to place down leaves and wood. They consume wood at a 1:1 ratio. Blinkroot is used for making potions. You might want to start farming it, just put it in a pot or planter.

Building a base in one of those giant trees is really fun :) Especially since you got the living wands early.

29:50 That's "Aglet". As in, the things at the ends of shoelaces. Weird, right? :)

In the crafting menu if you click on the hammer and dots it’ll open a crafting grid which shows you all of what can be crafted instead of scrolling

heh heh. you're doing fiiiine! you know some things like backwalls preventing mob spawns but you struggled with chests must be empty to remove them. I haven't played with mods much but vein miner and some of those are pretty spiffy. you have fun.

There is a mod called "Which Mod Is This From? (WMITF)" and if you hover over any item, block, NPC, etc. It will display the mod it is from.

lol, the base game starts with copper and wood. While iron is the early game, you still start by making copper and wood weapons, tools and armor, because for some reason there are two types of copper swords in the base game. Personally, I don't why the base game did start with stone tools and copper weapon. But thats just my opinion.

Tried to play Terrraria but got lost with it, very different from Minecraft but shares a few similarities. Where would one start, trying to get into this?
