⛔️🙅‍♀️ NEVER Use Solid Nail Glue For Press-On Nails #shorts

Here's why you should never use a UV solid nail glue to apply your press-on nails. This mistake is dangerous to your health! Just use a normal nail glue! With the correct application, our press-on nails can last up to 3 weeks with our nail glue. #presson #pressonnails #pressonnailsbusiness #pressonnailbusiness #nailhacks #nailtipsandtricks #nailtips #educational #educationalvideo #beautytips #beautyhacks

I'm not sure about everyone else, but on the side of the box it says in the instructions not to use with opaque colors. The company I use also sells clear press on that can be polished and decorated however you like. Those nails, solid glue and freeze light come as a set. If you get the press on nails or toes they send the regular glue or double sided tape as an option. Folks just need to read the instructions.

So glad to see a nail creator actually addressing this! I see creators using press ons with gel all the time and it kills me because people who don’t know better are watching these videos to try to learn and end up learning very wrong and harmful information and copying it and unknowingly putting themselves at risk for contact dermatitis. Even just touching it with your fingers when it’s uncured is bad which I saw you did and I hope next time you use gloves. I always try to report the videos for harmful and dangerous acts and comment proper use and safety on the bad videos when I see them but I feel like not enough people read my comments or take it to heart to really make a difference (I’m just some random stranger online in the comments I guess it makes sense). But that’s why it’s so important for the creators to make videos like this.

To truly "test" you may want to use an actual nail lamp and not a tool meant for flash curing. Flash curing should always be followed up with a full cure in a lamp.

I 100% absolutely agree with you
When I first started out doing nails, not very long ago, I was unaware of some of these issues that can arise from uncured gel or gel products. I didn’t know at the time that these types of issues even existed! So I put these products on and repeating, curing them properly because like you saying your video the light cannot pass through to cure the under product. Specially if you’re using like like black nail polish or something like that dark or black press on nails. So it took me almost a year of having uncured product that I was unaware of, before I developed an allergy! The allergy started out with my fingers, the skin all the way around my fingers of my nail plate getting a little itchy. Then within minutes, it’s turned red and then blisters come out. By the next day, my fingertips were cracked and my entire finger now from the knuckle just above the cuticle to the finger was so excruciatingly painful I had to go to the doctor. Five years later, if I come in contact with any of these Hema products, I instantly break out and the allergy last for months! That means after I remove all of the product, after breaking out with the allergy, my nails need to fully grow out for my allergy to go away that takes a long time for a nail to grow from the cuticle all out to the fridge so I had to wait nine months to a year before I was fully cared and was able to go back and do anything to my nails at all. It was a total nightmare! And it wasn’t shortly after I had recovered from the first allergy episode that I turned right around and got another one. I was a little better equipped to get right in there and get the product off and numb my fingers with some lidocaine cream and some prescription from the doctor and I was able to get over it about four months. Now I am extremely careful what I use and making 100% sure that everything is cured and nothing contains HEMAHEMA isn’t the only grain you can be allergic to, you could be allergic to many many ingredients. And even if you don’t get the product on surrounding skin around your nail bed, if it sleeps into your natural nail, you can develop an allergy also! So it’s very very important to know how to properly prepare your nail bed to take these gel type products to minimize any possible allergic reaction. Whether they’re polishes whether they are the product that you use to pressure nails on it doesn’t matter, just be aware, be informed and be cautious and if you notice any type of allergic reaction, get it all removed immediately! Immediately.

👍 great video very sound advice 👍

Those gel glues should only be used for gel full cover tips that are clear. I would die if I did my nails, and still had uncured gel in them.

But they aren’t designed for press ons. They are made for soft gel nails not press ons and those nails are usually clear or nude and soft pink colors that can be painted or designed after being fully cured. Why wouldn’t you say that?

I use acrylic for opaque nails and solid gel glue for the transparents

Also, when using solid glue gel, you should use gloves. I wouldn't touch/play with it using my bare hands as she does in the video.

YESSS 🙌 uncured gel will give you contact dermatitis and cause the layers of skin on your fingertip to start separating! Take this from a now licensed nail tech, learned the hard way when I was still DIY !

NAIL TECH here...this is extremely true. This is a great video for beginners.

Shouldn’t you try actual full nail lamp with a higher amperage?

Once you have a good lamp and not these flash cure lamps everyone using. the gel will cure. I tried with a larger lamp and they cured fully. You touching it with your hand, also cause allergies.

Well duh you're only supposed to use it on translucent, that's why they always show it that way, everyone knows you can't do it under a bear covered nail or dark nail

Hi! I have 2 questions please and thank you. 1. love having long nails however my nails peel and never get strong enough on their own… what are the best ways natural to do your nails at home to restore nail health from damage and prevent future damage? 2. Is there also a product that’s kinda works like a miracle by completely transforms your hands and feet (overtime likely) that makes your skin baby soft and almost perfect like you could be a mani pedi model with no dry seemingly permanent calluses, no peeling cuticles, dry cuticle, no past scars on feet from shoes, etc?

Depending on if I had someone do a solid gel x mani, I would get my nails done 1-2 per month along with a gel pedi for over a year straight. I’m doing my pampering at home for the time being and I’m really feeling like my technicians didn’t really manicure either my hands or feet so I really want to have the best healthy skin and nail health with everything smooth soft and pretty ❤ thank you!!

That should be common sense. The light needs to pass through to cure it

so basically, only cure under clear nail tips?

just test if light shines through, it usually always does even with black...just really get the sides with those large gems, they might not be see-through... it's absolutely not helpful to use such a weak lamp like in this video.. I have a 220 Watts one, those flashlight looking things have like 5 to 10, depends on the amount of led.. and the more led, the stronger the lamp, the more energy it brings to the product.. it would probably need 3 to 4 minutes with those.. do your research and test stuff yourself before blindly trusting anyone 😅

Solid nail glue is used for adhering full cover nails tips, not press ons

Sooo glad someone is addressing this! I tried this "tiktok hack" to use gel glue under press ons and when I did it I was like "this is literally never curing why are people doing this?!" I also feel like uncured product could invite bacteria in.
