Idk how people are so hung up on radahn, he took me probably less than 10 attempts. This however took me like 50 attempts, it was absolutely brutal

i find it odd how this video shows the gargoyles taken turns approaching his character. One hangs out back while the other attacks. Its also odd to see the second gargoyle doesnt use poison from across the map which hits his character. When i try this fight I have both on each side swinging for the fences, the second gargoyle jumps to the back of the map and somehow still hits me with poison. Id love to have the version of gargoyles this guy has

I’ve played every soulsbourne game and downed just about every boss in the series. I’ve never struggled this much on a boss ever. I routinely will get stunned just on the edge of the poison and the twin blade will attack right at that moment every. Single. Time. Never one to get frustrated by a game but this is making me lose my patience

For melee builds, this boss is 50% strategy and 50% luck, that's the untold truth

My only question is what secret item are you using that keeps both of the gargoyles calmly at midrange, allowing you to spam spells at the weaker one until it dies. In my game they both swarm me and it's game over.

This was, by far, the hardest fight for me. What I did was waited until phase 2 (when the second guy starts out) to summon my mimic. I found that he just stood in the poison otherwise and took too much damage in phase 1. He was able to take agro from the two of them for awhile so I could get hits in and save my heals. Most fights ended in a 1v1 with the second guy with about 4 flasks. Hopefully this helps someone else struggling.

I came back at level 100, after collecting four Great runes, and taking out other pretty hard bosses. I just can't manage the chaos when both come out. I'm a level 100 confessor getting totally owned here.

After 50 tries of fighting them solo, melee only, and with no summons, I now understand the meaning of this quote.

"Preoccupied with a single leaf, you won't see the tree. Preoccupied with a single tree, you'll miss the entire forest"
-Vagabond by Takehiko Inoue

I shit bricks when the second once showed up. Was not ready for it and was already struggling with the first one. There goes my runes, I’ll have to come back to this fight another time haha

Anyone struggling on this, if you head right as soon as you enter the Arena, you'll see a cliff. Apparently you used to be able to cheese the bosses into jumping off, but in my testing that no longer works. What does work, however, is if you go to the cliff, while facing the cliff go all the way to the left, so the edge of the cliff furthest from the entrance to the arena. There's a sort of alcove over there where there's little to no LOS of the side of the arena both gargoyles spawn at. If you fight the first gargoyle in this area, and are able to stay as close as possible to that edge of the cliff, then when the second gargoyle spawns he either a) won't see you and just stand on the opposite side of the arena until you start running towards him, or b) take like 4 times as long to walk over to you. Either outcome should give you enough time to kill the first gargoyle before fighting the second. I'd recommend not to use summons until the first gargoyle is dead (if summons are your style) as the second gargoyle might aggro your summons and run over to you.

I seriously struggled with these two, like more than any other boss in the game, but this trick made it much, much easier to divide and conquer.

My biggest suggestion is at the start of the fight run to the right and fight the first one as far from the spawn of the second as possible. That way when the second one shows up you could get as many hits in as possible (maybe even kill it) before the second reaches you

Was able to beat without summons with your Nagakiba Samurai build but it wasn't easy. The crazy poison stun-locks they get on you ratchets this boss up to a whole new level, like hoar frost stomp on the first crucible knight.

Guys after x hours and x attempts, I finally downed them. Fought the first one behind the spike closest to the waterfall (I stood closer to the 'spike' rather than the ledge). He does fall off the cliff eventually. When the second one apprears, D is still alive, I call out the mimic and just hit the hell out of the second one. Hope this helps those like me who spent hours watching guides hoping & trying to beat this boss.

Use putrid corpse ashes right at the beginning of the fight. They stay at the back of the arena where the second gargoyle spawns. His attention will be on the ashes while you take out the first one. As long as they're alive, he won't bother you. Take the first one out before they die, and you should have an easier time with the second one

IF YOU WANT TO CHEESE THIS FIGHT** You can fight the bosses near waterfall and when they jump attack they fall down the waterfall and die. Easy fight with lil bit of rng, easier done when he bust out his axe

This is the only boss fight I’ve had to lookup. I’m a pure strength build, and when I get the second one to come out they both just start doing that stupid poison aoe. Both of them. It’s the fucking worst. I summon D but I just get to watch him get ganked by the two while in a poison pool while I stand helplessly to the side

What did it for me was going light loaded. The extra iframes really helped. Good luck.

You can actually battle the first one alone at the right of the entrance, near the waterfall. There's a wall/cliff that makes the second one not able to see you when it drops as long as you stay near it, so you can kill the first one without the other one attacking you because it doesn't agro. That's how I killed them.
