These are the best tutorials on rage-inducing bosses, and oh-so-satisfying. The catharsis of seeing a jump attack smashing the head at 0:52? REAL.
I will try these strategies on my next playthrough. In my run, I was fighting near the cliff and suddenly the first gargoyle just....yeeted himself off the edge. Then the second one showed up and I'd be a liar if I said I wasn't curious, so I fought there again....and sure enough, suicide. Dunno why, they'd been curbstomping me over 60 times, they had everything to live for.

It seems that fights against giant creatures are easier without camera lockon, since the camera doesn't go nuts when you're too close.
I always figured the camera was as much an enemy as the boss because of how the lockon works.
