GIVE UP! Chop Down that Lychee Tree

It's a favorite fruit of ours, but it's just not worth it anymore in zone 11. Besides the minimal chill hours we receive here to make fruiting a bit unpredictable, we now have a devastating mite infestation called LEM (Lychee Erinose Mite) that attacks new growth and fruit. I give up.

The LEM disease looks like Gal early in the fungus growth then takes over the whole leaf.
