I got really excited yesterday when I saw the Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered page on Steam. I am very curious to see what Aspyr does with Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness.

Archive passwords weren't discovered in plain text. They were stored hashed in BCRYPT format. So yes the addresses were leaked but passwords should be safe.

I'd still recommend a password change (pass phrase) for piece of mind but IA will bounce back stronger and beefing security after essentially a botched job will benifit everyone.

My only concern was the state of contributions in the Archive, I have personally worked preserving local software development and media. Let's hope good things come out of this.

Emulators going from open source to close source is always a bad move. It is awkward that DuckStation's main source does this and it is going to continue to be awkward when other emulators do this. Open source lets the community as a whole decide on what to do it. And the worst case is there are splits, which is not a terrible result.

For anyone who wants to know, that leaked game is playable on ryujinx but not yuzu. Interesting how "dead" emulation still emulates games yet to release.
