This is something I tell the ladies at my Bible study. We make time for everything, but when it comes to JESUS, we're full of excuses, but we can scroll for hours on end. Let us focus on what our greatest need is...more of JESUS

Thank you for this. I was spiritually starving so I just started weekly group bible study Wednesday evenings with members of my church, and even bought an R.C. Sproul Study Bible (ESV).
I do have some side reading such as Reformed Systemic Theology (Beeke & Smalley), the 1689, and The One Year Book of Psalms.

I haven't missed a day in about 9 years. I've had surgery under anesthesia, and the covids, and plenty of bad and busy days, but still managed to reach a few chapters each day. Praise God for His goodness and mercy to us. If anyone reading this isn't in the Word every day, commit to it. You brush your teeth every day. You feed yourself every day. You will never look back and wish you used your time differently. The Word changes us, God uses it for our growth in Christ, get it in you.

Reading the bible is a MUST, it’s given that that is how a true born again believer eats and grow, mature. Get it done everyday, it’s a daily necessity not a luxury .
