The biggest mitigation action that was not enacted that explains the proliferation of Covid-19 cases in Orleans parish was not cancelling Mardi Gras. It would have taken political nerve to do so on the part of the Governor and/or the mayor of New Orleans but neither had the will to do it...We’re all paying for that mistake.
